"The sweetest grapes hang highest!

(German proverb)

It is not surprising to hear that outstanding wines originate in the vineyards and not in the cellar. The saying "the sweetest grapes hang highest" (German proverb) sums up what we winemakers are striving to achieve; the unreachable. A winemaker embarks on a career that demands the highest level of professionalism and discipline. The tasks are enduring and hard, each part requiring absolute precision. You cannot rule nature; you must feel it. We appreciate that each vintage is different from the next, and therefore an understanding and cooperation with nature is needed. Each year, we take our knowledge and our experience for the big challenge that awaits us, and apply them to the circumstances of nature, and unite them in harmony. That is the art of winemaking; resulting in wines that reflect their regional typicity, and impress our hearts, as well as our palates.
