Sommerlier icon Adi Schmid tasted our 42 | Zweigelt Reserve 2015 and is thrilled. We are very happy about that and make us immensely proud.

Matured for 42 months in French barriques - that sounds terrible. But it is not at all. This is an incredibly balanced red wine. The wood of that time forms a unit with the fruit. This highly sensitive use of wood made this great red wine grow to sheer size. Great aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, black berries, fine roasted tones, soft tannins, nougat, heart cherries, also pepper. A red wine that exudes a distinguished harmony, very complex, of the finest timbre. A red wine that really makes you want more, which is incredibly attractive in its feminine way, which also cuts a fine figure on the international stage. Probably no coincidence, as the person who created this wonderful red wine is female. Simone Hiller-Jordan is the winemaker and manager of the Jordan winery, where winemaking tradition has been a top priority since 1858. Another example that not only can white wines be successful in the Weinviertel, but red wines can also mature into stylish icons.
