The world has been different since February 24th, we are stunned, shocked and saddened by the reports from Ukraine. Unbelievable suffering and tragedies, but also a lot of courage and cohesion. We don't want to look away, we want to help.

Since the beginning of the war, the podcast Danube Waves: Ukraine Update our friend Florian Kührer-Wielach from Pulkau is a very good source for unfiltered information. As director of the IKGS (Institute for German Culture and History of Southeast Europe) in Munich, he has many friends and colleagues in Ukraine and neighboring regions and manages to take a good look behind the daily news in his podcast.

For the urgently needed help in the region, Florian and his team have one Fundraiser for Bukovina put on its feet. The first delivery of relief supplies arrived in Chernivtsi yesterday and has already been distributed.
